Rock band KISS and internet sensation Grumpy Cat have tapped Dynamite Entertainment to produce new comics and graphic novels based on their respective brands.

Rock band KISS and Internet sensation Grumpy Cat have tapped Dynamite Entertainment to produce new comics and graphic novels based on their respective brands.

First, Dynamite will publish “KISS #1” in October. The sci-fi adventure will follow four young friends who embark on a mission to uncover the truth about the mysterious Council of Elders and their underground home, the city of Blackwell.

Next, the publisher will unveil an all-new collection of Grumpy Cat comics in “Grumpy Cat Vol. 2: Grumpy Cat & Pokey.” The new graphic novel features more than a dozen short stories and is currently available at comic shops and online.

Additionally, the publisher has partnered with a number of international publishing partners to launch the James Bond comic book series, “Vargr.” In France, Delcourt will publish 007’s first comic book adventures. Meanwhile, Italy’s Panini Group will publish the series in Italy, Spain, Andorra, Mexico, Latin America, Russia and Russian speaking countries, Turkey, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia and Croatia.

Finally, in Germany, Splitter will publish the the series in all German-speaking territories.
