Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site to get slate of new products.

Chronicle Books is building a multi-year, multi-platform publishing and licensing program for the best-selling bedtime books Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site and Steam Train, Dream Train.

First published in April 2011, Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site has been a New York Times bestseller for more than 191 weeks and counting. The follow-up, Steam Train, Dream Train, debuted in April 2013 and spent 43 weeks on the list.

The stories have already been reimagined as a matching game, lacing cards, puzzle, and sound books by Chronicle Books, and licensed for plush to Merry Makers, board games to University Games and magnetic play sets to Mudpuppy.

Beginning in spring 2016, Chronicle is planning an additional 11 books and gifts in a variety of formats including board books, a growth chart and a new picture book, based on the series. Later this year, Books to Bed will launch the first Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site licensed pajamas and Merrymakers will introduce a giraffe plush inspired by the cover of Steam Train, Dream Train.

Chronicle Books is seeking additional licensing partners across all categories for both brands.
