BuzzFeed’s Tasty brand and Hacche have announced the debut of customizable cookbooks as part of a deal brokered by Licensing Matters, BuzzFeed’s licensing agency.
The English version of the MyTastyCookbook is available now online with translated versions available in German, French, Spanish and Portuguese in the works. Tasty’s cookbook includes a collection of popular recipes shared by the digital brand. The book offers customization options as well with a personalized cover and interchangeable chapters available upon purchase.
“We are always led by what our audience crave, so to give them a book they can completely own, including the process of creation, is extremely rewarding for us,” says Mark Rogers, general manager, Europe, BuzzFeed. “Hacche produce beautiful, high-quality books, and this product is the next step of our international rollout of licensed products, which bring us a deeper connection to Tasty fans.”
Recipes in the cookbook include fan favorites such as chicken bacon alfredo roll-ups, fluffy jiggly Japanese cheesecake and chili lime baked tilapia with avocado crema. Tasty’s recipes have proven a particular hit with Gen Z. According to BuzzFeed, more than half of the generation watch a Tasty video at least once a day.
“We are tremendously excited to see this partnership between our client, Tasty, and Hacche, a market leader in made-to-order publishing solutions, come to fruition,” says Felipe Noriega, business director, EMEA, Licensing Matters Global. “This customizable product has the chops to become a Christmas gifting favorite.”
