Yankee Publishing has tapped Brentwood Licensing to expand the licensing program for the Old Farmer’s Almanac brand.

As the brand’s licensing agent, Brentwood will aim to extend the 225-year-old publication into categories related to gardening, weather, nature and food. In addition, the Old Farmer’s Almanac for Kids licensing program will aim to further expand the brand into categories like educational toys, games and crafts to help children learn about the topics covered in the periodical.

“We are very excited to be working with Brentwood Licensing on this endeavor,” says Jamie Trowbridge, president, Yankee Publishing. “Brentwood shares our vision on the expansion of the Almanac’s licensing program. There are tremendous opportunities to leverage the book’s longevity and broad appeal.”

The Old Farmer’s Almanac is released annually and can be found in more than 50,000 retail locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. The publication is known for covering topics such as weather, gardening, food and astronomy, among others, and more than 3 million copies of each edition are printed each year.
