The collection is timed to coincide with the library’s “Comics Unmasked” exhibition, which will celebrate the legacy of classic comic books when it debuts Aug. 19.
Based on The Beano Since 1938 style guide, Hype Associates has developed an exclusive range of greeting cards specifically produced for The British Library that feature letters from the alphabet using classic
artwork. Each card includes a special credit line that details from which issue, story and character the letter was sourced from.
The greeting card range is now available in The British Library gift shops and will roll out to additional retailers in the near future.
As part of the “Comics Unmasked” exhibition, The British Library has also commissioned London-based screen-print artist John Patrick Reynolds to produce exclusive The Beano prints. The “Beryl the Peril”
