Phoenix International Publications and Kids2 have announced the international rights expansion for

“Baby Einstein”

books with licensed children’s book imprint PI Kids.

Board books with a variety of novelty features in Spanish, Portuguese and Worldwide English (excluding the United States and Canada) will hit markets in 2021. Lead titles for summer 2021 also cover key early-learning concepts for babies and toddlers such as colors, seasons and movement, which ignite curiosity and encourage sensory exploration.

"We believe the future belongs to the curious, and we infuse this into every Baby Einstein solution we design,” says Karen Neblett, executive vice president business strategy and development, Kids2. “Baby Einstein’s iconic brand power in early-learning curiosity-driven products and PI Kids’ innovation in interactive books with imaginative play are a natural fit.”

The PI Kids deal follows the North American rights expansion of the “Baby Einstein” brand in color and activity, bath and cloth

book formats earlier this year.

“We are thrilled to be extending our successful partnership with Kids2 into one with a more global focus,” says Sophie Partridge, executive vice president and global publisher, Phoenix International Publications. “We look forward to seeing the line expand into new publishing categories that broaden our product portfolio and which help to build the ‘Baby Einstein’ brand in markets beyond the U.S.”
