The Dodo, a global digital publisher for pet and animal content, announced a collaboration with Walmart’s pets category, spanning pet products as well as a Walmart Pet Lovers box and insurance offerings.

Marking the pet brand’s first-ever product collection, The Dodo will bring Walmart shoppers nearly 30 products for dogs in categories including grooming, feeding, apparel, toys and accessories, all designed to prioritize overall well-being for pups. Now available in more than 1,600 Walmart stores and on Walmart.com, pet parents will also have access to Walmart Pet Lovers’ Box boxes, featuring dog apparel, treats, toys and more, and Walmart Insurance Services will also offer Fetch by The Dodo pet insurance, The Dodo’s pet insurance and wellness brand.

"Our project is a first for Walmart’s Pet department,” says Eric Karp, senior vice president, brand licensing, Vox Media, owner of The Dodo. “Never before has D8 partnered with a brand across all three of its business verticals: durable pet products, services (pet insurance) and business development (pet subscription boxes). Quite an achievement for Vox Media’s The Dodo brand and brand licensing teams to navigate the complexities of developing these offerings and marketing them across all our platforms. We’re anticipating a long and successful role as the national digital pet brand for Walmart D8."
