The first membership-based Internet shopping club for licensed merchandise, Shopping4Fans, is set to launch this December with its premiere event focused on products from Brand Licensing Europe.

Shopping4Fans.com will be a private, members-only site selling officially licensed merchandise at reduced prices. The site will provide licensors and licensees with a global, controllable distribution channel to sell excess stock and end-of-line/out-of-season merchandise through limited-time shopping events.

“Existing fashion-focused Internet shopping clubs such as Vente-Privee already represent around 20 percent of global sales for the fashion industry, so the potential for Shopping4Fans.com is huge,” says Patrick Ashworth, chief executive officer, Shopping4Fans. “Our new site will be the world’s first to focus on exclusive officially licensed merchandise and sought-after products at highly reduced prices.”

Members will register and sign in to the site to gain access to exclusive shopping events selling restricted quantities of licensed products in all categories from sports, entertainment, kids, characters, celebrities and publishing segments. 

Shopping4Fans will be showcasing at Brand Licensing Europe, which begins Tuesday in London.
