Licensing agency will bring the web-based brand to categories such as toys, apparel and more.

Science media brand IFLScience has appointed One Entertainment as its licensing agent in North, Central and South America.

One Entertainment will now seek to expand the web-based brand into categories such as apparel, gifts and novelties, stationery and toys, building on the IFLScience e-store.

“We are really excited to be collaborating with IFLScience,” says David Gebel, managing partner, One Entertainment. “The unique tone of the site and its incredible momentum have struck a chord with millions. It truly opens a whole new approach to engage consumers with science-related products.”

In January,

IFLScience appointed Global Merchandise

as its licensing agent in the U.K. and Eire.

“After launching our licensing programs in the U.K. and Europe with Global Merchandising Services and Untapped Agency in Australia and New Zealand, we are delighted by this new partnership with One Entertainment in the Americas,” says Michele Kuprewicz, merchandise manager, IFLScience. “We are confident this collaboration

will allow us to bring fun new products to our fans, especially in the U.S. where more than 60 percent of our global fan base comes from!”

The first IFLScience products are expected to launch in retailers next spring.
