Disney Unveils Style Video Series

Disney has launched a new YouTube series that explores the ways its characters and stories are interpreted through fashion, titled “Destination: Disney Style.”

YouTube program will look at Disney’s recent and upcoming international fashion collaborations.

The five-part original series will be hosted by YouTube influencers LaurDIY, Jaleesa Moses, Meredith Foster and Lucy & Lydia and will give Disney fans a peek at recent international Disney collaborations by exploring how local designers, fans and fashion enthusiasts put their own twist on Disney style.

The episodes include:

  • Tokyo Disney Street Style–LaurDIY gives viewers an inside look at Disney Expo Japan 2016, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, as well as explore the way the Harajuku Girls include Disney in their street style looks.

    • Shanghai Fashion Week–Jaleesa Moses scores a front row seat for the shows featuring Minnie Mouse-inspired designs from Chinese fashion designers Ji Cheng, Lulu Han, Makin Ma and Cindy Soong.

      • Disney x Coach–Meredith Foster meets the creative force behind the latest Mickey Mouse collaboration.

        • London Calling–Lucy & Lydia attend the launch of the Disney x Cath Kidston collection and explore distinctly British Disney street style.

          • Finding Pixar Fashion–LaurDIY receives an early look at the upcoming Disney-Pixar x Forever 21 collaboration.

            “From the catwalk in Shanghai to the sidewalk in New York, this new series sees YouTube’s biggest fashion stars explore what Disney style means around the globe,” says Josh Silverman, executive vice president, global licensing, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media. “Fashion and pop culture collide in such creative ways, and it’s incredible how fans infuse their favorite Disney characters into daily looks to make a truly personal style statement.”

            The first episode of “Destination: Disney Style” is now available

            on YouTube, with a new episode launching every Tuesday in August.
