Sony Music Entertainment's The Thread Shop, a music merchandising company, is creating music merchandise in India.

The Thread Shop will design, manufacture and merchandise and lifestyle goods, artist-specific product lines, limited-edition customized merchandise and full-scale tour merchandising through a variety of online and physical retailers, and artist e-commerce sites and pop-up retail environments in tour venues and stores in India.

"The Thread Shop has legendary clients and it is an exciting company to work with," says Salman U. Syed, founder and promoter, Bangalore Open Air & Rock N Roll Originals. "It's an absolute honor to release officially-licensed merchandise of artists like Jimi Hendrix, Foreigner, Led Zeppelin, Joan Jett and Bob Dylan finally here in India. With The Thread Shop, we will now finally have licensed merchandise available for fans and with this association, we will use or legal channels to bring down bootleg merchandise in the market."
