Pop artist Peter Mars has signed an agreement with The Jerry Garcia Family to create a collection of original artworks and limited-edition prints inspired by the late Grateful Dead front man.

The deal will also see Mars and The Jerry Garcia Family release official licensed merchandise based on the artwork created. Mars’ core source material will include photos of Garcia, as well as, illustrations, graphic art and album covers, and other various mementos of the musician over the course of his career.

The agreement was brokered by Peter Mars’ licensing agency, Lisa Marks Associates, and The Jerry Garcia Family’s licensing agent, Sara Nemerov, of Envy Branding & Management.
