Members of the band Imagine Dragons, as well as members of its management team, have invested in the global eSports company RektGlobal.

Under the terms of the agreement, band members Wayne Sermon and Daniel Platzman will join DJ Steve Aoki as co-owners of RektGlobal’s Las Vegas eSports organization, Rogue. The bandmates will also seek out opportunities to connect further with the gaming community.

“We love gaming and eSports and have been looking for new ways to contribute to this community for a long time–but we never found the right fit until now,” says Mac Reynolds, manager, Imagine Dragons. “We expect to see eSports continue its rapid growth internationally, and we think Rogue and RektGlobal are the partners who will help make our hometown of Las Vegas the premiere team and gaming event destination.”

Imagine Dragons’ entered the world of eSports with their 2014 song “Warriors,” which they wrote for the League World Championships.

RektGlobal is an eSports infrastructure company that bonds the traditional sports model with eSports and competitive gaming. The company also connects professional entertainment companies with eSports leaders.
