Do You Believe In…Cher’s New Suite at NYC’s Sofitel Hotel?
Sofitel Hotel in New York City has created a new suite inspired by musician and actress Cher.
According to CNN, the room will include a "Cher Show" poster signed by the cast, a Time magazine cover signed by both Cher and her longtime costume designer Bob Mackie, Cher portraits by celebrity illustrator Al Hirschfeld and original costumes from the musical.
Cher’s hotel room comes as the Moon Struck star rings in the debut of her jukebox musical “The Cher Show” on Broadway. The suite is part of Sofitel’s partnership with the Tony Awards that sees the hotel create themed rooms for hit Broadway shows year-round.
For those who can’t afford the $499 per night room fee, the Sofitel is also offering a Cher themed cocktail at its Gaby Bar. The “Turn Back Tyme” drink consists of gin, lime juice, ginger beer and thyme-infused simple syrup, topped off with a candied ginger.
Cher’s suite and cocktail follows the recent news that she will debut a new perfume in partnership with Firmenich later this year. The new scent will be her first perfume in more than 30 years. According to WWD, the scent will include a spicy, vanilla oriental fragrance with notes of bergamot, neroli, jasmine and vetiver.
