Universal Brand Development has entered into a set of new deals for the 20th anniversary of its film The Big Lebowski and DreamWorks’ Trolls.
All Things Equal has teamed for a line of games and puzzles inspired by The Big Lebowski. Board games include Where’s the Money, Lebowski?, a loaded question co-branded game that includes original artwork, components and 180 opened questions; and Meet Your Match Dude, a nine-piece puzzle and brainteaser that features the film’s main characters, The Dude, Walter, Donny and Jesus. The oversized puzzle pieces can double as coasters.
“There’s a little bit of ‘The Dude’ in all of us,” says Eric Poses, owner of All Things Equal and inventor of the new The Big Lebowski games. “These new titles are designed to appeal to people who have seen The Big Lebowski zero, one or 100 times. They’re just fun products, man.”
Both The Big Lebowski-inspired games are available now at toys and game stores across the country and online at Amazon.com/AllThingsEqual. In a separate deal, Universal is celebrating DreamWorks Trolls and the character Princess Poppy who has been crowned queen. Universal Brand Development is partnering with retailers and social media influencers across eight EMEA markets to find lucky DreamWorks Trolls fans who will win tickets to join Queen Poppy at her coronation party. The lucky winners will enjoy a spectacular celebration, full of hair-raising fun and themed activities centered around the colorful world of DreamWorks Trolls. Prizes will include full access to the royal grounds, a live musical performance and interactive salons.
“We are incredibly excited to announce this summer’s colorful celebration of all that DreamWorks Trolls stands for,” says Becki Fleming, vice president, franchise and marketing, Universal Brand Development EMEA. “Developed in conjunction with partners in eight different EMEA markets, Queen Poppy’s Coronation Party will be fantastic fun–full of surprises and a totally immersive experience for DreamWorks Trolls’ fans. It’s another mark of our commitment to the brand, keeping it front of mind and top of the playlists as we enjoy the animated TV series, ‘DreamWorks Trolls: The Beat Goes On!’ and look ahead to the highly anticipated theatrical release of DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls World Tour in 2020. It’s a unique opportunity to laugh, sing, lose yourself and dance to the beat of DreamWorks Trolls this summer!”
The party will take place Aug. 18 at Allington Castle.
