Sony Pictures Consumer Products has announced a new pop-up experience in Los Angeles, inspired by the “Breaking Bad” franchise.
The pop-up will feature a cocktail and food menu inspired by the series and its spinoffs. Items available to fans include Heisenburger sliders, the full measure grilled cheese and loaded SAULsa nachos.
The Sony Pictures CP pop-up was developed in partnership with Saved by the Max, the designers responsible for previous pop-ups based on "Saved by the Bell" and "Good Burger." It also marks the second "Breaking Bad"-inspired pop-up to reach the U.S. A themed experience based on the series' restaurant Los Pollos Hermanos toured the country in 2017.
"We couldn't be more excited to bring the world of 'Breaking Bad' to life," says Derek Berry, operating partner, Saved by the Max, in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. "We are always looking to further elevate the nostalgic pop-up experience into something both foodies and show fans will love. So, when the timing aligned for this to become our next concept, we saw an opportunity to cook up our most immersive experience yet."
The pop-up comes as Sony Pictures preps for the debut of "El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie" on Oct. 11. Netflix's film will pick up where the “Breaking Bad” series finale left off. Sony Pictures CP has already announced a slate of other licensing deals for the movie with companies including USAopoly and K-Swiss.
