The Pokémon Company International is rolling out a vast line of products inspired by the upcoming film Pokémon: Detective Pikachu.

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu is produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, Legendary Entertainment and The Pokémon Company.

To start, the company is adding new booster packs to its Pokémon Trading Card Game. Additions include the Pokémon TCG: Detective Pikachu Collector Chest, Pokémon TCG: Detective Pikachu Greninja-GX Case File, Pokémon TCG: Detective Pikachu Charizard-GX Case File and the Pokémon TCG: Detective Pikachu Case File. The first wave of Pokémon TCG: Detective Pikachu products will be available beginning April 5 in North America.

Meanwhile, apparel, roleplay and lifestyle items will become available on PokemonCenter.com on April 2, with a second line set to debut in May. Featured items include the Detective Pikachu Deerstalker hat, Ryme City 10th Anniversary Parade apparel, Ryme City Police Department apparel and accessories, Hi-Hat Café apparel and accessories, as well as a pin set, patch set, sticker set, tin sign set, and more.

Master toy licensee Wicked Cool Toys is offering new plush, action figures and role play at mass retail beginning in April. New SKUs include the Pokémon: Detective Pikachu movie figure line which includes 2-inch and 3-inch scale articulated figures. The line also includes Pokémon: Detective Pikachu movie feature plush.

The company is also launching a Pokémon: Detective Pikachu publishing program, which will include a “making of” coffee-table-style book from The Pokémon Company International’s in-house imprint, Pikachu Press and more. Mattel’s Mega Construx will expand its Pokémon building sets range with new offerings, such as Mega Construx Detective Pikachu, a 232-piece, 6.25-inch Detective Pikachu figure and the Mega Construx Detective Pikachu Mr. Mime figure with highly articulated limbs.

The first wave of Pokémon Mega Construx items inspired by Pokémon: Detective Pikachu will begin to hit retail shelves on March 25.

The Pokémon Company International has also developed licensed apparel and home décor with a roster of partners which will launch at mass retail closer to the film's release. “Pokémon is a global entertainment franchise that has delighted its fans with video games, trading cards, animation, and soon, live-action movies with the upcoming Pokémon: Detective Pikachu,” says Colin Palmer, vice president, marketing, The Pokémon Company International.

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu will debut in theaters May 10 in North America.

The Pokémon TCG line and other select products inspired by the film will be on display at The Pokémon Company International’s booth at the American International Toy Fair, taking place Feb. 16-19 in New York City.
