Mad Libs has teamed up with The Roku Channel, producers of the new Roku Original parody biopic, “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story,” premiering on The Roku Channel on Nov. 4, to offer fans free digital Mad Libs stories inspired by the film, and digital sweepstakes to win a Hawaiian shirt worn by actor Daniel Radcliffe in the film.
“‘Weird Al Yankovic is known around the world for bringing his unique perspective and humor to popular music,” says Brian Clark, senior editor, Mad Libs. “Now, he’s turning his keen eye for parody back on his own life and celebrity in his latest film. A partnership between Mad Libs and Weird was a no-brainer, and we are thrilled to give fans the chance to create and share their own irreverent parodies of Al’s life and legacy.”
Three all-new titles, “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story-inspired Mad Libs stories, including “Where the Weird Started,” “My ‘Weird Al’ Playlist,” and “Primetime Weird” are available for download via Penguin Random House now.
The Mad Libs Facebook page will host a digital sweepstakes until Oct. 5 for a chance to win a Hawaiian shirt worn by Radcliffe in “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story,” along with a prize pack of Mad Libs titles.
