Disguise, the costume division of toy and consumer products manufacturer, JAKKS Pacific, has announced a new partnership with the movie franchise, "Avatar." The new costumes are available in stores and online, coinciding with the movie's re-release in theaters.
The costume for the Na'vi character Neytiri features a fully printed jumpsuit with detailing, including foil, attached beaded choker, necklace, belted skirt, arm guard and a pair of vinyl ears.
The costume for the “Avatar” character Jake Sully also comes with a fully printed jumpsuit with Na'vi detailing throughout, attached gloves and tail, foil, necklace detailing, loincloth, detachable holster, arm guard and a pair of vinyl ears.
The accessory line includes both wigs and weapons.
The collaboration marks a milestone for Disguise in its global costume expansion – it is the first time it has created costumes and accessories for the "Avatar" movie franchise.
"'Avatar' is such a groundbreaking and visually stunning film that lends itself perfectly to costumes, and Disguise is pleased to be collaborating with Disney, 20th Century Studios and Lightstorm Entertainment to create costumes for the existing and future films," says Tara Hefter, president, general manager, Disguise, Inc. "'Avatar' has proved to be a global sensation and aligns perfectly with our costume expansion outside of North America. We are excited to be creating costumes for such an amazing and beautiful film franchise and the highly anticipated sequel films to come."
