Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosov, co-founders and co-chief operating operators, Alcon Entertainment, have announced that the company has hired Striker Entertainment to handle licensing of consumer products for the Blade Runner franchise, with an emphasis on “Blade Runner: Black Lotus,” and for its hit series “The Expanse.”

Striker Entertainment will oversee multiple categories for the franchise, including fashion collaborations, collectibles, board games, action figures, paper goods, apparel, accessories, prop replicas and more. They will curate a roster of tastemaker licensees that manufacture products that service all franchise fans.

“Alcon has showcased the fact that they know how to produce content that is aimed squarely at the fan in all of us,” says Russell Binder, president, Striker Entertainment. “We are grateful to have been selected to help Alcon further extend that fan servicing with merchandise and experiential deals that keep these treasured properties in front of audiences

and consumers both during and in between seasons.”

Alcon Entertainment owns the rights to the Oscar-nominated Blade Runner franchise, including its upcoming animated series, “Blade Runner: Black Lotus.”

Alcon also owns all rights to “The Expanse,”

which will debut its sixth season on Amazon Prime this fall.

“We are thrilled to continue to expand the Blade Runner universe beyond the screen and create incredible merchandise for Blade Runner fans in partnership with Striker Entertainment,” say Johnson and Kosove, in a joint statement. “Furthermore, ‘The Expanse’

fans have been clamoring for more opportunities to own products associated with the show and we trust Striker Entertainment will take great care of them.”

“Blade Runner: Black Lotus” will release later in 2021 on Adult Swim and CrunchyRoll and Striker Entertainment is actively looking for foundational partners for the licensing program.

“The Expanse”

recently received the prestigious Golden Tomato Award from Rotten Tomatoes for being one of the best-reviewed television shows of the year with a 100 percent rating. The show airs on Amazon Prime.
