Following the news that Mediatoon will now handle all licensing for the classic French property Lucky Luke on behalf of Lucky Comics, the company has announced a series of new partners and product partnerships for the brand.

Mediatoon has brought several new international sub-agents on board including Alicom Licensing in the Nordics, El Ocho in Iberia and Walz2consult in the G/A/S countries. Discussions are currently in place for additional representation in Turkey, Italy an Indonesia as the brand continues its international reach.

The classic property continues to perform well in the apparel category for both kids and adults. In addition to a line at H&M in Europe, a deal that was brokered by Alicom, new apparel agreements have been signed with Santex and Bravado in Germany (through Walz2consult) and Stonewall in Spain (through El Ocho). The new clothing lines will hit retail this year.

Other licensing partnerships include a new deal with Egg Ball for mobile games featuring The Daltons (the first, “The Daltons–Slot Machine” will be out this month), a deal with the German bank Deutscher Sparkassen Verlag to promote its new money card system (negotiated by Walz2consult) and the expanded distribution of the Lucky Luke comic book collection from Hachette in Québec after its success in France, Belgium and Switzerland.

The newest Lucky Luke title, Cavalier Seul (Lone Rider), was released in French in October and has been released by various publishing partners in Portugal, Italy and Denmark, with versions coming to Turkey, Germany, Finland, Spain and the U.K. soon.

Cavalier Seul is also the first Lucky Luke comic book to be available in digital form with an interactive e-version is now available in French for both iOS and Android devices.
