Wondery, a podcast studio and network, is teaming up with Mills Entertainment, producer and promoter of live entertainment experiences, for a multiyear collaboration to produce live stage tours based on Wondery’s critically acclaimed podcast series. The first of the live experiences kicks off this fall with Wondery’s true crime collection, Exhibit C, bringing the true crime podcast, “Dr. Death,” to the stage.

The live tour, titled “Exhibit C LIVE Presents: Dr. Death – A Closer Look,” begins in November, diving into the unsettling true stories of medical malpractice and lapses of accountability brought to light by the podcast. A full list of “Exhibit C LIVE Presents: Dr. Death – A Closer Look” tour dates and additional information, including participating panelists and ticket availability, can be found at Drdeathlive.com. The tour’s launch is presented by Audible.

“Exhibit C LIVE Presents: Dr. Death – A Closer Look” attendees will hear firsthand the gripping narratives of the survivors, the wrongdoings of medical professionals, the bravery of the heroes and whistleblowers and the relentless pursuit of justice. Featuring expert speakers and interactive discussions, the live tour provides an opportunity to delve deeper into these real-life cases, hear from a panel of experts and have questions answered. Matthew Shaer, host and co-creator of hit true crime podcast, “Suspect,” will serve as moderator and will be joined by Dr. Robert Henderson from the first Dr. Death season, lawyer Anthony T. DiPietro from the podcast, “Exposed,” who has represented more than 700 survivors of ob-gyn, Robert Hadden, and Dr. Death host and reporter, Laura Beil. Laura has also reported and hosted other Wondery podcasts, including the critically acclaimed “Bad Batch and The Vaping Fix.”

“Wondery is excited to extend the fan experience into new areas, meeting audiences wherever they are,” says Nicole Blake, chief brand officer, Wondery. “We’re thrilled to work with the team at Mills Entertainment, a leading producer and promoter of live tours, to create unforgettable, live experiences that engage fans and bring these gripping stories from Dr. Death to life in a whole new way.”

This collaboration marks a milestone for Wondery as its first foray into live tours, following an initial one-night-only “Exhibit C: A True Crime Experience Live” event that took place at New York’s Gotham Hall last October.

“Wondery’s boundary-pushing content is incredibly well-suited for transition to live entertainment,” says Simone Gianfrancesco, senior vice president, live touring, Mills Entertainment. “Dr. Death brings to light critical real-life stories that connect with listeners of all ages and backgrounds. We are excited to work with Wondery to create immersive live experiences that will transport fans into the heart of these vital stories, and this is just the beginning.”
