Olivia Travel, Showtime Networks and ViacomCBS Consumer Products have announced a new immersive vacation experience for fans of “The L Word” and new series “The L Word: Generation Q,” which premiered Dec. 8 on Showtime.

“The L Word: Generation Q” Caribbean Resort Vacation will take place at Club Med’s oceanfront resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on May 9-16, 2020. It will be an all-inclusive experience for guests, complete with themed pool parties, nightly dance parties, screenings, panels, meet-and-greet events with photo and autograph opportunities and more. In addition, guests will enjoy nightly comedy and music shows throughout the week.

“Olivia and ‘The L Word’ have a beautiful history together, so it’s only fitting as an entire new generation is introduced to these characters and stories that we would team up once again to bring fans – past and present – together with cast members and creators of this series,” says Judy Dlugacz, president and chief executive officer, Olivia. “‘The L Word’ broke new ground for lesbian representation in its first run, and ‘The L Word: Generation Q’ is poised to go even further by fully representing LGBTQ+ women, no matter who they love or how they identify.”

Collaboration between Olivia Travel and “The L Word” began when the first episode aired in 2004, when cast members and series creator and executive producer Ilene Chaiken joined travelers on an Olivia cruise to the Caribbean to celebrate and watch the series premiere. In addition, episode 10 of season two – “Land Ahoy” – was filmed aboard an Olivia Cruise and aired in April 2005.

“We still hear from women all over the world who found Olivia Travel through ‘The L Word,’ and we’re back to do it all again, bigger and better, as we bring 1,300 LGBTQ+ women together to experience one of the best vacations on the planet, while celebrating the return of this show that has made such a profound impact on our culture,” says Dlugacz.
