Penguin Ventures, BrickLive Partner for The Snowman and The Snowdog Tour
The toy brick tour will include 150,000 bricks and take 750 hours to build.
Penguin Ventures has announced a licensing partnership with Bricklive for a holiday activation for The Snowman and The Snowdog property.
The deal will see Bricklive create an event tour inspired by the animated film, which is a sequel the book The Snowman which first published in 1978. Bricklive’s tour will include a brick trail of 16 models including four large models for memorable photo opportunities. It will debut at the Banham Zoo in late Nov. before traveling the U.K. and Ireland through early 2020.
“We are always looking at how we can bring our classic characters to family audiences in new and unexpected ways and partnering with Bricklive does exactly that,” says Thomas Merrington, creative director, Penguin Ventures. “The sculptures show incredible attention to detail and we are excited to see this trail come to life.”
Collectively, The Snowman and The Snowdog will be created using 150,000 bricks. It will take about 750 hours to build by a team of highly skilled Bright Bricks builders employed by Bricklive.
"We are overjoyed to be partnering with Penguin Ventures, a leading player in the family entertainment sector, to deliver The Snowman and The Snowdog-branded Bricklive tour in the U.K. and Ireland,” adds Andy Smith, managing director, Bricklive Group. “Adding this timeless classic to our festive portfolio is a very proud moment and we look forward to developing an amazing proposition for our customers and their visitors.”
