Little Lion Entertainment, creator of augmented reality (AR) experiences, has announced the launch of “Pac-Man Live Experience,” a playable live attraction based on the iconic video game franchise. This collaboration with Bandai Namco Entertainment marks a significant milestone in the evolution of AR and location-based entertainment.

Little Lion Entertainment is the U.K.’s premier immersive attractions company, having welcomed millions of guests to its experiences, including the smash-hit “The Crystal Maze Live Experiences,” “Tomb Raider: The Live Experience” and “Chaos Karts.”

Bandai Namco Entertainment, a global video game publisher, is known for franchises such as Pac-Man, Tekken and Elden Ring, delivering diverse and innovative gaming and location-based experiences across multiple platforms.

Little Lion’s recent acquisition of The Games Arenas, home of “Chaos Karts,” promised an expansion into new live video-game attractions. That potential is being realized with the “Pac-Man Live Experience,” a global-first experience, in collaboration with Bandai Namco.

The “Pac-Man Live Experience” is exactly what it sounds like: real-life, playable PAC-MAN, on an epic scale.

The “Pac-Man Live Experience” will transform the Little Lion Entertainment Games Arena venues into immersive, interactive mazes, where players become Pac-People themselves and navigate through the famous levels to collect power pellets and fruit, desperately avoid ghosts and win points to take the title. Players will see the classic Pac-Man characters and elements integrated into their real-world surroundings using state-of-the-art AR technology.

“We are ecstatic to collaborate with Bandai Namco Entertainment, the pioneers of one of the most beloved video games in history,” says Tom Lionetti-Maguire, chief executive officer, Little Lion Entertainment. “Their expertise and collaboration in our creative vision have been invaluable in ensuring that our live experience remains authentic to the original game while offering a fresh and thrilling twist in bringing this into a fully playable 360-degree digital world.”

“This new experience perfectly aligns with Pac-Man, offering something fun and entertaining that appeals to both children and adults,” says Aadil Tayouga, licensing and business strategy director, Bandai Namco Europe. “We can’t wait for people to discover this innovative and truly unique experience created by our partner at Little Lion Entertainment, bringing Pac-Man to a whole new field while staying true to the franchise’s values.”

This launch blends physical activity with digital gameplay in which participants will explore multiple mazes and up to 12 different levels, including a new bonus game, with a sense of adventure, transforming everyday locations into a dynamic playground filled with challenges and surprises. The “Pac-Man Live Experience” offers accessibility for all guests ages 8 to 80.
