Copyrights Group and Rockefeller Productions have announced plans to launch a stage show based on children's fiction character Paddington.

The new show created by Jonathan Rockefeller will be targeted to preschool-age audiences. It will feature a puppet version of Paddington when it launches in the U.S. and Canada in 2020.

"Paddington books were a staple of my childhood," says Rockefeller. "The antics of the kind-hearted and accident-prone bear have always made me and so many others, smile. I am thrilled to bring this celebrated bear to the stage in a way that audiences have never experienced him before."

The show will not be the first time Paddington appears on the stage. The Copyrights Group partnered with Butlin for the “Paddington at the Seaside” live event.
