Acamar Films, independent producer and distributor of the award-winning animated pre-school series, “Bing,” has signed an agreement with MadHouse Brands & Malls, granting the experiential specialists the rights to provide costume character appearances of Bing and Flop within France for three years.

“MadHouse knows how to deliver character experiences that are true to the heart of a property while also captivating audiences,” says Kirsty Southgate, director, experiential and promotions, Acamar Films. “We are sure the team will provide encounters with Bing and Flop that will not only delight French families but also strengthen the popularity of the series as it continues to win audiences on France 5 and Okoo.”

The Bing and Flop costume characters made their debut French appearance in Toulouse on Sunday, April 9 as part of the Easter weekend event organized by Secours Populaire, a nonprofit organization. Family activities included an egg hunt, games as well as meet and greets.

“Bing and Flop are quickly becoming preschool superstars in France and it is clear that Bing is a series which already means a great deal to French families,” says Rosalen Gonzalez Martinez, international business coordinator, MadHouse. “We are so pleased to be able to add Bing and Flop to our roster and look forward to working with Acamar to bring children and families unforgettable experiences and interactions with their favorite characters.”

“Bing” launched on France Télévision’s Okoo digital platform last November, where it quickly became a family favorite. Bing made its French linear television debut on France 5 Jan. 3. Three episodes of “Bing” are broadcast back-to-back on France 5 every weekday morning from 7:05 a.m. as well as on weekends from 8:35 a.m. during term time. French audiences can also find “Bing” on the Okoo digital platform on MyCanal, Orange, Samsung TV, SFR and TV on FREE as well as on the French language Bing YouTube channel. Bing Licensing opportunities with France are being managed by France tv distribution.
