Kids’ animated series-themed attractions hit Alton Towers Resort.

Acamar Films, a London-based independent production company produces, distributes, markets and licenses its international, award-winning preschool animated series, “Bing.”
“Bing,” which began as a series of books written by Ted Dewan, has transitioned into a popular TV series on BBC’s preschool channel, CBeebies. “Bing” is currently broadcast in more than 130 territories, including on the Cartoonito block on Cartoon Network.
It’s no surprise that such a popular IP would expand into the location-based experience (LBE) space.
One place where Bing has been part of the LBE trend is Alton Towers Resort, a theme park and resort complex in Staffordshire, England, near the village of Alton. The resort marked the opening of its 2022 season with a VIP event on Saturday, March 19. The opening included celebrity guests and influencers who enjoyed an overnight stay at CBeebies Land Hotel and a chance to explore the resort.
Acamar Films recently renewed its long-term partnership with Alton Towers Resort and BBC Studios, bringing new attractions to the resort last month. These include a new Bing live show in CBeebies Land and two Bing-themed rooms at the U.K.’s only CBeebies Land Hotel.
The new Bing and Flop live show, “Bing’s Day Out at CBeebies Land,” will be performed multiple times daily at Big Fun Show Time in CBeebies Land. Little ones can join Bing and Flop as they get ready to try out the rides and enjoy a fun-packed day.
The new Bing-themed rooms include a main bedroom for grown-ups, set in Bing's iconic park with an impressive bandstand feature. Preschoolers can experience an unforgettable sleepover in Bing’s very own bedroom complete with an Owly night light and Hoppity wall decor.
Location-Based Experiences are the theme for this year’s Licensing Expo, May 23-24 in Las Vegas. Register here.
