The German brand, “Bibi & Tina,” telling the adventures of Bibi, a 13-year-old witch and her friend, Tina, united in their love of horseback riding, is becoming the focus of an amusement park. In the past, the IP has been featured in audio adventures, books, merchandise, animated series, movies and soon, a theme park.

“We are very pleased to be developing the world's first 'Bibi & Tina' amusement park in Elstal, near Berlin, with the amusement park professionals from Karls,” says Holger Küchler, managing director, Kiddinx Media.

The theme park site will feature numerous activities related to horses, riding and games. A themed hotel and retail area are also planned. The construction project is expected to last two years and will open in 2024.

Kiddinx Media has launched several initiatives in the English-speaking territories with Zebralution and Warner Music Group spearheading the distribution of Bibi & Tina’s library for audio plays.

“We are very excited to join forces with the Kiddinx team, our international network, and ‘Bibi & Tina,’ one of the few spoken-word brands that has already managed to reach a ten-digit number of streams,” says Nils Hollmann, managing director, Zebralution. “The proven storylines, quality of production, different voices, and sophisticated sound system truly appeals to children. Removing all the visuals and leaving just the audio triggers both the child’s imagination and a different level of commitment to the serial character. In times where CD sales have further decreased and download is no longer the right format for kids/parents, the rise of voice assistants (smart speakers) combined with streaming is increasing kids’ media-autonomy.”

“We look back on 20 years of a successful collaboration with Kiddinx,” says Marcus Friedheim, managing director, Warner Music Group. “We are impressed by the new ‘Bibi & Tina’ amusement park project and equally excited about the distribution of the English audiobooks in GSA, which has already been successfully launched – another product that Bibi and Tina fans will enjoy, combined with the educational approach of listening to the audiobooks in English.”
