Funko has announced it will officially open the doors to its new retail store in Hollywood on Monday, Nov. 18.
To celebrate, Funko will host a special grand opening event beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the store, located at 6201 Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles. Those interested in attending can preregister for the free event. Space is limited to availability but there will be a standby line onsite. Fans can expect life-size Funko statues and immersive “sets” themed around major pop culture fandoms.
“Our team has done a phenomenal job bringing these sets to life,” says Brian Mariotti, chief executive officer, Funko. “We’re thrilled to now be a permanent fixture in the Hollywood community and look forward to bringing the magic of Funko to the fans, families and entertainment aficionados.”
Funko has also teamed up with Alaska Airlines to offer a chance to attend the grand opening, an offer that will include airfare, accommodations, a gift card and guaranteed entry into the event.
The 40,000 square-foot Hollywood location is the second brick-and-mortar Funko store. The first store is located in Everett, Wash., where Funko is headquartered.
