The Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association is now accepting submissions for speakers and topics at next June’s Licensing University educational sessions, held in conjunction with Licensing Expo.
Licensing Expo 2013 will take place June 18-20 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev., with the Licensing Academy beginning one day earlier on June 17 and continuing through the show.
LIMA plans to offer a slate of approximately 30 sessions in 13 different categories on the 2013 program.
“Licensing University presents an ideal opportunity for industry professionals, via an extensive program of panel and group discussions, to add to and reinforce their knowledge on topics important to their business,” says Marty Brochstein, senior vice president industry relations and information, LIMA. “We’re looking to industry executives to contribute to next year’s Licensing University offerings to ensure that the comprehensive program delivers the greatest possible value to all attendees.”
LIMA is currently seeking topic suggestions in the following categories:
- Case studies on new product, property introductions and brand extensions
- Retail strategies and trends
- International licensing
- Mobile and wireless content
- Apps/video gaming
- Food branding and licensing
- Consumer spending trends
- Corporate branding
- Music and celebrity licensing
- Sports licensing
- Art licensing
- Corporate social responsibility
- Maximizing social media
Applications for moderators and speakers are now being accepted via the LIMA website. Deadline for submissions is Nov. 16.
