Woodlodge and the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) have unveiled the designs for their outdoor planter partnership, presented for garden retailers this year at Glee Sept. 14-16.
The result is a range of terracotta, glazed and fiber clay pots, licensed under the RHS brand. For the design process, Woodlodge had access to the whole range of RHS design assets, including its style guides and artwork from the RHS Lindley Collections.
“Our company ethos is to enrich people’s lives through plants and make the world a greener and more beautiful place,” says Michael Wooldridge, director, Woodlodge. “This vision underpins all that we do and there is a strong synergy between Woodlodge’s aims and the RHS that will enable us to meet the increasing consumer demand for beautiful garden design. The RHS partnership gives garden retail a strong and trusted branded offering and will offer consumers both peace of mind and confidence when buying our range of products.”
The new range will also be supported with its own newly designed point of sale that will feature the RHS logo. The RHS range will be available exclusively to garden centers and RHS shops.
The first products in the partnership are now available for pre-orders and will be distributed to retail outlets in January.
“It’s important for us to work with brands and partners that have a strong resonance for gardening, and we are delighted to be working in partnership with Woodlodge for the sales and distribution of our new RHS outdoor planters into the U.K. garden retail channel,” says Cathy Snow, licensing manager, Royal Horticultural Society.
The extended range will be showcased at Glee (NEC Birmingham, Sept. 14-16), and buyers will be able to view the full RHS portfolio offering on Stand 6J30-20A31.
