Licensing Takes Over London

The annual Brand Licensing Europe trade show opens its doors tomorrow at London’s Olympia exhibition hall with more exhibitors than any year before and plenty of events to keep attendees busy over the next three days.

The show floor promised to be packed with the best in new and classic brands, as well as plenty of exciting fanfare ranging from the annual Costume Character Parade on Tuesday to the License! This live finale on Thursday.

Participants will have the chance to view a WWI Tommy, attend an origami demonstration and be serenaded by the 20th Century Fox Consumer Products samba marching band.

A range of celebrities will be making appearances at this year’s show, including:

  • BBC presenter Kate Humble;
  • “Strictly Come Dancing” star Russell Grant;
  • R&B group Stooshe;
  • Rowing gold medalist and member of the Royal Navy Lt. Pete Reed;
  • Canine welfare trainer and star of “For the Love Dogs,” Brian Brady alongside a furry friend;
  • Polar historian David M. Wilson, and more.

As in years past The Licensing Academy, sponsored by License! Global, will host a series of invaluable discussions and interviews including a keynote focusing on the hit property Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and an interview with Ralph Strauss, head of strategy and brand management at FIFA.

License! Global’s own Tony Lisanti will be moderating a discussion on licensing in Brazil, featuring David Diesendruck of Redibra.
