Studio100 Media, a subsidiary of Belgium's family entertainment group Studio100, and the BBCÕs CBeebies have signed a deal for the preschool animation series "Zigby."

The series is created by children's author Brian Paterson and is based on the Harper Collins Children's Books' Zigby, The Zebra Who Trots into Trouble. The 3-D series is co-produced by Avril Stark Entertainment, Zebra Productions and Big Animation in association with Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Treehouse TV.

"We have built a great working relationship with the BBC both as co-producers and distributors and are thrilled to offer this series," says Patrick Elmendorff, managing director of Studio100 Media. "With this collaboration 'Zigby' promises to be a great educational series for preschoolers."

BBC Worldwide (Booth #2811) is exhibiting at this year's Licensing International Expo to be held June 2 to 4 in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Resort.
