Sharper Image, London Luxury Pair for Bedding, Bath

A five-year licensing deal has sprung up between The Sharper Image and London Luxury to create a branded line of bedding and bath merchandise.

London Luxury, a New York-based textile manufacturer, has gained the rights to The Sharper Image trademark for use on a wide range of bedding and bath essentials, including mattress pads and toppers, heated products, pillows, sheets, towels and comforters. The products will be sold during the second half of 2009 at department, club and specialty stores in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

"In today's economy, we know consumers are looking for solutions that not only deliver on superior quality, but also provide enhanced value," says Federico de Bellegarde, vice president of licensing at The Sharper Image. "London Luxury has proven time and again that they can do just that, which is why we have chosen to partner with them."

The first collection will debut at the New York Home Fashion Market Week, March 9 to 13.
