HIT Entertainment and the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) have paired to bring "The Pingu Show" to kids in Canada.

APTN has agreed to air 74 episodes of the "The Pingu Show" on its children's block in both English and French. The Swiss animated series created by Otmar Gitman and Harold Muecke, follows the family and friends of a penguin named Pingu and their lives in the Antarctic.

APTN is seen in nearly 10 million Canadian homes with 56 percent of programs offered in English, 16 percent in French and 28 percent in Aboriginal languages.
