Lucie Follett, co-founder and creative director, Arklu, is stepping down from her role as creative director to set up a new company, Lucie (London).

Follett will retain a small equity stake in Arklu.

Follett founded Arklu with Ian Harkin in 2010 and was responsible for the company’s brand building, product development and product partnerships.

Following the launch of the Royal Wedding dolls in 2010, the company went on to create Lottie Dolls, which are now stocked in more than 30 countries and have won a number of awards.

"I have enjoyed the part I have played in creating Lottie,” says Follett. “Stargazer Lottie's recent trip to the International Space Station with Tim Peake was a particular highlight of the journey we have travelled together. I look forward to seeing how Lottie develops over the years ahead and have confidence in Ian's ability to push forward and take the business on to the next level."

Follett’s new company, Lucie, can be found at Lucie.London/en.

“We wish Lucie well in her new venture,” says Harkin, managing director, Arklu. “Arklu is a young, vibrant and fast-growing company with exciting plans to develop the Lottie concept over the years ahead.”
