LEGO Systems has partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to release LEGO Games The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey based on the upcoming New Line Cinema and MGM film, which hits theatres Dec. 14.

"We're thrilled to be partnering with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to add a unique board gameplay experience alongside of our construction toys collection based on the film," says Christian Thor Larsen, senior brand director, LEGO Systems. "Fans are sure to enjoy interacting with characters and stories from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in LEGO Games form.

The Hobbit LEGO game features micro-figure playing pieces of Gandalf, Dwalin, Kili and Fili. Players search for 10 missing dwarves to help Bilbo Baggins on his trek. As with other LEGO Games, players must build the game and the die using the LEGO bricks and elements provided.

The Hobbit LEGO game is now available at retailers across the U.S.
