Animation veteran Kathy Page was recently appointed to vice president of production for Hasbro Studios, where she will lead physical production of programming, much of which will be aired on The Hub.
Prior to joining Hasbro, Page had served as vice president of animation at Sony Pictures Television since 2007, where she oversaw programming of properties such as "The Spectacular Spider-Man" and "Sit Down, Shut Up." Page has also worked in a number of production roles at Warner Bros. Television Animation and Film Roman, as well as served as line producer on series, including "Scooby-Doo," "Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman" and "Tom and Jerry."
"Kathy's extensive production and management experience, overseeing many top-rated series throughout her career, will be invaluable to us as we re-imagine Hasbro's world class brands for television," says Stephen Davis, Hasbro Studios' president. "Kathy has already been working closely with our studio development team and outside creative stewards on a consulting basis, so she hits the ground running as we continue to ramp up production of best-in-class content for the kids' and family market."
The Hub is the recently formed joint children's TV venture between Hasbro and Discovery Communications. The channel, expected to debut this fall, will include comedies, animations, live-action series and game shows based on properties such as Transformers, My Little Pony, Adventure Camp and Flight 29 Down. Margaret Loesch is the chief executive officer and president of the venture.
