RoyaltyZone’s software service and staff will now join FilmTrack to provide a more robust end-to-end platform, as well as expand and strengthen the company’s brand licensing and consumer product offerings. RoyaltyZone’s software service will also be used to manage the company’s full portfolio of license agreements, rights, products and royalties.

Two years ago, FilmTrack entered the consumer products space after acquiring Jaguar Consulting.

“We are excited to join forces with the team at FilmTrack,” says Lou Ellman, chief executive officer and founder, RoyaltyZone. “Royaltyzone clients will enjoy increased resources and expertise in development, support, implementation and operations. Together, we will innovate the best software solutions for managing and monetizing intellectual property.”

The acquisition will also extend FilmTrack’s leadership as a cloud-based SaaS technology company. It also brings more than 50 new customers to FilmTrack.

"We’ve long admired RoyaltyZone’s turn-key platform, used by thousands of companies around the globe to report and pay royalties in the cloud,” says Jason Kassin, chief executive officer, FilmTrack. “This strategic acquisition is a natural fit with FilmTrack’s portfolio of SaaS services, allowing our clients to monetize their IP through faster, more efficient commercial transactions across every area of their business. Moreover, this continues our expansion into the consumer product vertical which is a natural fit for our contract and content management solutions.”
