Campbell's chicken and tomato soup cans will soon feature art from the recently released animated family film The Tale of Despereaux. It is the first-ever motion picture deal for the Campbell Soup Company.

The Universal Pictures film, which was release on Dec. 19, features voice talent from actors Matthew Broderick, Dustin Hoffman, Emma Watson and Tracey Ullman.

"The Tale of Despereaux is based upon a beloved children's book that celebrates soup, while encouraging kids to be brave and adventurous," says Kim McGough, senior manager of Integrated Marketing. "This partnership is a perfect fit for our condensed soup brand, as we celebrate our brand by deeply investing in the growth and development of kids through a range of education and health and wellness programs."

Campbell's also offers a Despereaux-themed Web site for kids at myslurp.com, as well as support of the non-profit Lollipop Theater Network.

The Tale of Despereaux is based on the children's best seller and Newbery Medal-award winning book by Kate DiCamillo.
