Registration for the Women in Toys, Licensing and Entertainment Empowerment Day is now open.

The annual event, which is held in collaboration with Walmart, provides female entrepreneurs a chance to pitch products, receive mentoring and engage in conversations with key members of the toy industry. Empowerment Day aims to attract female startups and entrepreneurs, manufacturers, inventors, and business owners who want to grow their business and careers in the field of toys, games, licensing, and entertainment. Pitches will be presented to executives from including Hasbro, Spin Master, Play Monster, Jazwares, Basic Fun!, Walmart and more.

The keynote address will feature a Walmart buyer panel, inventor relations executives panel, plus educational sessions on e-commerce, licensing, and Google and Facebook advertising.

In anticipation of the event, WIT has offered an Empowerment Day 101 Webinar, which gives an outline of the day’s activities, tips on preparing for product pitches, and details on qualifications needed to pitch to Walmart.

The WIT Empowerment Day is set to talk place at Dallas Market Center Oct. 1.

Following the day’s event, WIT will host its annual Cocktails & Connections party, in the Atrium at Dallas Market Center at 5:30 PM.
