June’s Licensing Expo will kick off with a keynote panel of executives from Hasbro, Jazwares and Mattel.

Executives from three top toy companies–Hasbro, Jazwares and Mattel–will deliver the Toys to Content: Where Do We Go From Here? keynote address at Licensing Expo, June 21.

Presented jointly by Licensing Expo, owned and organized by UBM Americas, and the show’s sponsor, the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association, the keynote discussion will be moderated by Marty Brochstein, senior vice president, LIMA.

“We are thrilled to welcome a distinguished group of panelists to address our Licensing Expo audience,” says Jessica Blue, senior vice president licensing, UBM Americas. “The opening keynote has become a must attend part of Licensing Expo and a great way to kick off the show.”

The hour-long keynote discussion will include:

  • Simon Waters, general manager and senior vice president, entertainment and consumer products, Hasbro–Waters leads the company’s consumer products team and leverages licensing to reinvent its franchises as lifestyle brands. He is also working to drive Hasbro’s worldwide studio entertainment initiatives across all platforms.

  • Laura Zebersky, chief commerical officer, Jazwares

    Laura Zebersky, chief commercial officer, Jazwares–Zebersky oversees the company’s global licensing, marketing and sales efforts, which have grown more than 200 percent under her leadership. She also lead the launch of a variety of brands that original digital entertainment properties such as “Minecraft,” “Terraria” and Tube Heroes.

  • Susie Lecker, chief brands officer, Toy Box division, Mattel–Lecker is responsible for all aspects of Mattel’s Toy Box division, a growth engine for the toymater. She also represents Mattel across all of the company’s licensed entertainment properties with partners such as Nickelodeon, Disney, Warner Bros and Universal/DreamWorks.

The keynote will take place on the first day of the annual trade event, June 21, at 8 a.m. at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev.

The keynote panel is part of LIMA’s lineup of Licensing University educational programs that begin Monday, June 20, with the Digital Media Licensing Summit, and run through Thursday, June 23. Each session is designed to help attendees acquire new strategies and develop innovative ideas.
