NY TOY FAIR: L!G, Licensing Expo to Host Seminar

The Toy Industry Association is featuring an expanded series of Licensing Content Connection seminars at this year’s New York Toy Fair.

“Thanks to [Toy Industry Association’s] newly established alliance with Advanstar, producers of Licensing Expo, and the Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association, our Licensing Content Connection at Toy Fair will be more informative than ever before, providing toy companies and brand owners alike with the opportunity to network, build business relationships and learn from revered experts in the field,” says Marian Bossard, vice president of meetings and events, TIA.

The programming will kick off at 1:30 p.m. today with the seminar Licensing 101: The Basics of Licensing Explained, which is hosted by

License! Global

founder and group publisher Steven Ekstract and Licensing Expo vice president Jessica Blue. The session will include an overview of licensing fundamentals and a case study from Alita Freidman, chief brand officer at Pretty Ugly, creators of the Uglydoll brand.

Other programming highlights include:

  • Workshop: Build a Licensing Program Today, 3:30 p.m.

    • Panel: Multi-Territory Licensing–What You Need to Know Tuesday, 11 a.m.

      • Walking the Aisles: Licensing Toys at Retail

        Registration is required for all Licensing Content Connection sessions. Cost is

        $99 for all four seminars for TIA members or $129 for non-members.
