Nuremberg to Highlight Toy Licensing

Toy Business Forum will feature top executives from the licensing sector.

This year, the fair is hosting a Toy Business Forum, which will be integrated into the TrendGallery. The forum will feature multiple presentations on current marketing developments and top trends in the toy world.

Each day will focus on a different topic with the Thursday's sessions focusing specifically on licensing, including a panel discussion featuring Steven Ekstract, group publisher,

Thursday’s licensing presentations will kick off with a 30-minute presentation by Reyne Rice of the consultancy ToyTrends on current trends and will be followed by a presentation by Filpe Olivera, senior analyst home and tech of Euromonitor International, about untapped licensing markets and what opportunities lie ahead for the toy and game industry.

Finally, a panel discussion featuring: Ekstract; Gustavo Antonioni, vice president,

EMEA Saban Consumer Products; Paul Bufton, vice president, EMEA Warnter Bros. Consumer Products; and Cristian Caberero, vice president, Nickelodeon will discuss the growth of licensed toys. Additionally, the panel will discuss the hottest entertainment properties of 2016. Meanwhile, Ekstract will also talk about top trends for 2016 and how to succeed in licensing.

Other highlights from the Toy Business Forum include presentations on innovations, trends, design, marketing and online marketing.

Spielwarenmesse will take place Wednesday through Monday Feb. 1.
