Licensing Expo Japan, which ran from Sept. 3-6 this year, gave attendees an inside look at the country’s booming licensing industry.
As one of the biggest licensing markets in the world, Japan has become a key territory for international organizations looking to expand their brands’ reach. The country is host to leading licensors in verticals such as anime, character food and beverage and entertainment. Japan is well known for its established properties available for licensing such as Kewpie, Hello Kitty and Business Fish.
LEJ provided an excellent opportunity to network with leading brands in Japan and discover new licensable IP from around the world. Co-located with the Tokyo International Gift Show, LEJ offered attendees the chance to connect with nearly 2,900 existing and potential licensee companies that exhibit.
To look back at the show, License Global has put together a brief slideshow of some of the goings-on on the LEJ event floor.
