The 15th annual HKTDC Hong Kong International Licensing Show and the sixth annual Asian Licensing Conference will kick off today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Hong Kong Int’l Licensing Show and Asian Licensing Conference will feature a host of brands, seminars and more.

The 15th annual HKTDC Hong Kong International Licensing Show and the sixth annual Asian Licensing Conference kicks off today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

This year’s International Licensing Show, which is organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, will feature more than 370 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions and will highlight more than 900 brands and licensed properties.

Additionally, the show will spotlight various categories, including animation, edutainment, art and design, fashion, lifestyle and food and beverage. Exhibitors include licensors and brands such as Caterpillar, Warner Bros., Sanrio, MTV, Nickelodeon, Rainbow, Smiley, Twentieth Century Fox, IMG, LMCA and Global Icons, among others.

Additionally, three new lounges–Van Gogh Senses, OMQ Dining Room and Ori-Princess Café–will be set up to create a more dynamic experience for food and beverage licensing during the show. Another feature of this year’s show is the Hong Kong Creative Gallery, which will continue to promote local creativity and showcase approximately 70 local licensing properties from Hong Kong’s young designers and illustrators.

Alongside the Licensing Show, the Asian Licensing Conference, Jan. 9-10, will see roughly 27 global licensing experts share industry insights at the venue. The two-day conference will address issues such as licensing in the digital era, lifestyle branding and licensing opportunities related to the Belt and Road Initiative.

“Digital Transformation of Licensing” presented by:

  • Leigh Anne Brodsky, executive vice president; Discovery Global Enterprises;

  • Charles Riotto, president, LIMA

“Branded Experience, Branded Lifestyle” presented by:

  • Claire Pierce, sales director, brand licensing, Meredith;

In addition to the Licensing Show and Asian Licensing Conference will be co-located with HKTDC’s Hong Kong Baby Products Fair, Hong Kong International Stationery Fair and Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from Jan. 9-12.
