Tech toys and licensed lines stole the show at this year's U.K. Toy Fair, which took place last week in London.

The annual trade show welcomed 260 companies that showcased their toy offerings.

A whole host of innovative new products was unveiled including Vivid Toy Group’s I-Que Intelligent Robot and Revell’s Wifi Quadcopter X-Spy, while licensed toys also made a strong showing.

New LEGO ranges for Minecraft and Disney’s Frozen, a Jurrasic World Growlers SFX Assortment from Hasbro and the Minions Movie backpack collection from Posh Paws were all launched. In fact, LEGO Minecraft took the top prize for the best toy of show, as voted on by the media professionals who attended the event.

once again celebrated the best of the year in the industry with toys from Bandai, Flair, Hasbro, Playmobil, Spin Master, the LEGO Group and many other big names taking home awards.

“The continued support of the industry helps to make Toy Fair such a strong event at the beginning of

the year," says Majen Immink, head of operations and sales, U.K. Toy Fair. "Thousands of exciting and innovative products were launched at Toy Fair this year and it kickstarted what we all hope to be a successful year for the toy industry.”
