Rain and flooding didn't stop a roster of new shows from making their debut at this year's MIPJunior and MIPCOM in Cannes, France, while established series finalized deals to enter new territories.

Beyond new and returning series other big news to come out of the event included Rainbow's acquisition of the Canadian animation studio Bardel, and Endemol Shine's new partnership with DreamWorks' MCN AwesomenessTV for international digital programming.

Corus Entertainment announced a new partnership with Bento Box Entertainment to form a new animation studio aimed at creating content for 18- to 34-year-olds (click here for details) and Cartoon Network announced plans for a new digital service in the EMEA that will feature short-form content (click here for details).
