Licensing Expo is bringing back its Matchmaking Service this year, and with it comes a host of success stories from last year.

The official one-to-one business networking tool is a must-have for exhibitors and attendees looking to make the most of the show experience.

The custom-built online networking service gives registered attendees and exhibitors the ability to pre-book on-site meetings and to quickly and easily search for new potential licensing partners according to their business objectives.

The Matchmaking Service can even serve as an attendee’s personal assistant, offering a detailed itinerary function and providing meeting reminders sent via email or text message.

"There’s no better way to prepare for Licensing Expo than to reach out and fill your calendar with meetings. Each year, we are thrilled to hear stories from our exhibitors and attendees who credit the Matchmaking Service for the success they found at Licensing Expo. This year, we have taken their feedback and have made improvements to the user experience. Last year, the Matchmaking Service scheduled more than 4,600 meetings before the show. Seventy-eight percent of those who used the service were c-level executives or senior managers, representing more than 98 countries. In total, 2,642 international meetings were booked via the service.

“We went to Licensing Expo with colleagues from another company,” says Brad Kelly, chief marketing officer, Colorworld Books. “We had a full schedule of meetings that came from using the Matchmaking Service while others wandered the show floor looking for companies to meet with. Our experiences were as different as night and day. Every one of our meetings resulted in an opportunity to work with each brand. Confidence is important when meeting new people. Thanks to our experience with Matchmaking, we had confidence in spades to make deals with other brands. We are excited for the next Licensing Expo, and can't wait to attend. Many exhibitors found the service fruitful and secured solid deals through it.

“The results were better than I had hoped for,” says Susan Vizvary, Susan Vizvary Photography. “In the few months since the show, I have signed four contracts! I learned so much about the licensing business and met great people. I’m not sure what I would have done without the Matchmaking Service. I was able to set up so many meetings before the show even started.”

Licensing Expo will return to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev., June 4-6.
